Keep the point. Cut the excess.

A useful brief names the viewer, the one complete point, the source passage and the deliverable before any effects are added.

Choose a complete point with enough context; a high-scoring fragment is not automatically a usable short.

Record what you removed and why, especially when a cut changes the conditions around a claim.
